We have just observed the 148th anniversary of the Battle of Trevilian Station over the June 9 and 10 weekend, and now we begin preparations for the main event, the 150th.  But all of this must take a back seat to our effort of preserving the battlefield.  The Civil War Trust just came to the aid of the effort recently with a one acre purchase.  While that may not seem like much, the one acre contained a non-period house which hopefully may eventually be removed.  Such purchases are important to the effort to restore the view to 1864.  We also applaud the efforts of Louisa County that has seen the opportunity to increase tourism and bring attention to our national treasure.  It is clear that the efforts we began in 1996 are paying dividends now.
